JOURNEYS International has announced the addition of Joey Lechtner as its new marketing director.
In this new role, Lechtner is to lead JOURNEYS’ marketing division, as he is charged with developing and implementing programs to expand brand awareness and recognition of the company. He will be overseeing all of the company’s advertising, public relations, social media and other marketing initiatives.
Lechtner joined JOURNEYS after nearly 20 years in retail, product, and e-commerce marketing. Previously, he served as the director of marketing for Fry, Inc. and director of merchandising for OfficeMax.com, where he led the online merchandising and marketing efforts of the consumer facing Web site. He also spent five years with American Greetings as a senior product manager.
Lechtner holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan.
