The 141-room hotel is spread across four villas and is designed with a Burmese themed décor, complete with high ceilings and expansive garden views. Each guestroom will feature IPad controlled internal room functions along with complimentary Wi-Fi. We hear the hotel’s Grand Royal Suite will expand over 1000 square meters, making it the largest suite in the country.

Foodies will enjoy one of the five dining and beverage options that will be available across the hotel. Menus will encompass local ingredients complemented with a European edge.

Those seeking to unwind can take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, fitness center or Kempinski The Spa, which will be added in 2015.

Top tip: check out the hotel’s teakwood royal pavilion inspired by the 18th century pavilions of Myanmar which served as welcoming lounges of palaces and provided relaxation for visiting diplomats, kings and royalty.

Business travelers will be able to avail of the six meeting rooms including the Kispanadi Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 400 guests for a variety of private and business-related functions. The Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw will also host a A full-service business center.

Travelers hoping to explore the city can do so in style, with full acess to the hotel’s fleet of BMW automobiles.

To celebrate the opening the hotel is offering an introductory rate from $180 for a Premier suite until December 31, 2014, subject to availability and advance booking.
