Lakeside Service: Ravella Opens in Las Vegas

Offering an Italian-inspired oasis in the desert-strewn city of Las Vegas, Dolce Hotels and Resorts’ newest property, Ravella at Lake Las Vegas opened its doors today, offering a sprawling 349-room-and-suite resort tucked on the shores of the largest privately owned man-made lake in the country.

Located on the site of the former Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas, Ravella is just 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, countering the city’s feverish pace with its white-sand beach, kayaking, fly fishing, nearby Jack Nicklaus golf course and a series of hiking and jogging trails.

We've heard that the new 30,000-square-foot spa, salon and fitness center is steeped in Mediterranean influences, while the Firenze Lounge spans three different areas for guests to mingle, nibble, cruise the web, sip a sunset cocktail or even play a game of backgammon.

Nice Touch: Spring brides-to-be will dig La Capella di Amore, Ravella’s over-water chapel featuring a private beach, a tumbling waterfall and a Florentine garden.
