Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group has announced it will open it 20th hotel, The Langham, Haikou, on May 28.
Situated in the capital of Hainan, China, The Langham, Haikou is strategically located in the Guomao district near the center of the city. The hotel was designed by U.S.-based architects SRSS and has 249 rooms and suites spread out over 14 floors, affording views over the city and South China Sea.
Each guest room and suite has commissioned art pieces and plush furnishings with a color palette of creams and gold. Accommodations also include Langham signature Blissful beds, motorized drapes and large rain showers. Guests of the Club Lounge can also enjoy personalized service and privileges including breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and the use of the boardroom.
Suites include The Chairman Suite, which has two bedrooms affording views of the South China Sea, as well as separate sitting, dining and cooking areas for private entertainment and an oversized jacuzzi in the main en-suite bathroom.
The Langham Haikou will also offer a range of dining options. The all-day dining restaurant, Atelier, will have an interactive open kitchen, smoke house and an oyster and champagne bar, while décor will include floor to ceiling windows and designs inspired by the studios and workshops of Renaissance artists.
T’ang Court will serve authentic Cantonese and Hainanese culinary dishes, and the restaurant will also have a glass-enclosed wine cellar and private dining rooms, while on the sixth floor an English style garden, Star Bar & Restaurant will offer up casual drinks and barbeque in an al fresco dining setting.
On the first floor, the Palm Court will serve as the location for Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood, with a selection of premium teas served with other small bites like English scones topped with cream and rose petal preserves. Guests can also visit the lobby bar, Liquary, for pre and post-dinner drinks, evening cocktails and cigars.
Meeting spaces and venues at the hotel include a variety of multi-functional spaces, as well as a grand ballroom and three multi-function rooms, large ballroom foyer, VIP room and Bridal Suite.
The Langham, Haikou’s Chuan Spa offers therapies based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Guests can choose from five private treatment rooms, a steam room and jacuzzi, or a foot massage treatment room. Other recreational facilities include a fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool.
The Langham, Haikou is part of an integrated complex comprising of a hotel and commercial offices. It is a 30-minute drive to Haikou Meilan International Airport and Railway Station.
