Starwood Hotels and Resorts has finished a $29 million renovation on the Le Méridien New Orleans.
The hotel now features 410 updated rooms. There are also three new eateries and a 1,600-square-foot meeting space. The new look of the hotel was inspired by the geographical landscape of New Orleans.
“Le Méridien New Orleans will provide a unique experience for creative and curious minded travelers as we help them unlock the destination through locally influenced design, programming and food and beverage,” said Brian Povinelli, global brand leader of Le Méridien and Westin.
Le Méridien, located on Poydras Street, is within walking distance of the famous jazz clubs.
The second phase of the renovation will include a redesign of the front desk and valet entrance; a palm garden will also be built. The grand opening will take place in March 2015.
