Loews Vanderbilt Hotel has announced that it will be undergoing renovations starting November 26. The renovation includes a complete redesign of the lobby, remodeled corridors, new guest and public bathrooms, and the new Mason’s restaurant and Mason Bar.
The new design, created by luxury hotel and restaurant design firm Simeone Deary Design Group, is said to “tell the story of Nashville using local music, fashion and food as design inspiration”. Hotel features and finishes include “a sleek, modern style with vintage inspiration; clean, museum white walls offset by heavy textures including stone, metal and rich, dark woods; and artwork and graphics inspired by the famed Hatch Show Prints”.
Mason’s, named for the popular Mason jars used in Southern canning, is slated to be a Southern brasserie-style restaurant combining traditional Southern dishes with classical French techniques. Mason Bar, a public house-style bar featuring a Mason jar chandelier and nine-screen media wall, will offer live music and a selection of beers, wines and spirits, some served straight from a Mason jar.
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel’s transformation is scheduled for completion in May 2013. Throughout construction, the hotel’s meeting and conference space, ballroom, fitness center will remain open. Alternative restaurant and bar locations will be available on the Mezzanine level for guests’ dining and beverage needs.
