London's St. James' Court Opens Courtyard for Summer

Summer is finally, finally here, and it's the perfect season for exploring London. St. James’ Court, A Taj Hotel, London has launched an British Royal Vintage Summer Experience and opened the St. James’ Courtyard.

Courtyard Summer Dining & Summer Afternoon Teas

St. James’ Courtyard has reopened for the summer season with a new menu through September. The á la carte lunch and dinner menu includes summer dishes such as Scottish scallops with citron salt flakes, Masala spiced fish with mango kachumber and of course, BBQ favorites such as tenderloin burgers and ribs.

The hotel’s Executive Chef, Vikas Milhoutra, has created a selection of afternoon teas to tie in with some key calendar events. The Floral Tea includes chocolate flower pots, rose macaroons and orange blossom scones; the Wimbledon Tea includes Earl Grey shortbread, strawberry and cream mousse and macaroons; and the extravagant 24 Karat Gold Afternoon Tea includes Luxor Pure Gold 24K Brut Champagne, gold leaf jelly, flaked gold strawberry tart and white chocolate and gold leaf. All teas include a selection of scones and finger sandwiches.

Bonus: Guests at the sister hotel Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, Suites and Residences can also enjoy St. James’ Courtyard, centered between the two Taj Group hotels in London, for al fresco dining and wining.

Royal Vintage Summer Experience

The new Royal Vintage Summer Experience includes a three-hour bespoke sightseeing tour of the capital in a vintage car. Guests can choose from a fleet of classic cars, which includes the Queen Mother's favorite Jaguar DS420 Daimler limousine 'Grand Princess’, the famous Downton Abbey Rolls Royce 'Gabriella’ and Lord Mountbatten's vintage Daimler 'Silver Baroness.' When they get back to the hotel after the tour, guests can relax with a floral themed afternoon tea.
