Look Inside Avalon Waterways' New All-Suite Ship

Avalon Waterways

Avalon Waterways has a new all-suite cruise ship that is sailing the Mekong River. The Avalon Siem Reap carries 36 guests, adding a VIP feel.

“Our wildly popular Suite Ship design is taking on Southeast Asia, sailing through Vietnam and Cambodia,” said Patrick Clark, managing director of Avalon Waterways. “This new, intimate ship, which holds only 36 travelers, is paired with our immersive Local Favorites program – including such delights as a traditional water blessing and Vietnamese cooking class.”

The ship was built by local craftsman and reflects Asian culture and the area. It also has modern touches that guests will appreciate (like a spa treatment room). The 18 suites come with 245 square feet of living space. The Siem Reap also comes with signature open-air balconies with floor-to-celling windows with panoramic views. The doors slide open for nine feet, creating the feeling of sitting outside. There is also a loveseat, chairs and table. The beds also face the river — making breakfast in bed a must.

Avalon Siem Reap sails from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap and vice versa. For travelers looking to sail the Mekong in 2015, Avalon Waterways is offering a $229 in air savings and savings of up to 2,000 per couple on select departures. Avalon is offering a savings of 10 percent on 2016 cruises. Get the deal information here
