Here's a hotel worth checking out: The London West Hollywood hotel has launched the second phase of its $25 million renovations, with its new 110-seat Screening Room set to debut January 2015. The space will reportedly be the largest onsite screening room for a hotel in the Los Angeles market, complete with satellite broadcast capabilities.
To enhance the property’s entertainment industry business, the hotel will introduce a fully wired second floor catering to press junket business as well as building a dedicated on floor kitchen to offer the highest standards of service. The new press junket space will have fiber optics for the studios, networks, and media. Additionally, the hotel has a private elevator leading to the entrance of both the junket floor and screening room for VIPs and CEOs.
The Screening Room at The London West Hollywood will be on the hotel’s first floor, located directly off the main lobby and across from signature restaurant Gordon Ramsay. The room will have a 20’ x 8.5’ screen; Dolby 3D; Digital Cinema Projection’ Christie 4K Digital Projector; Dolby Digital 7.1; satellite broadcasting capabilities; and will work in conjunction with VGA and HDMI inputs.
The second phase of the renovations follows the debut of The London West Hollywood’s new ninth floor suites (five specialty Gate Suites and sixteen Royal Vista Suites), which opened this fall.
