|Cleo, inside the Redbury Hotel|
We've heard that the just-opened Redbury Hotel of Los Angeles, the latest addition to the sbe Hotel Collection, has just launched a new bohemian cum chichi restaurant, Cleo, serving up traditional tapas, nibbles from the raw bar, and creative cocktails.
(Be sure to try the Lotus Flower with crushed blackberries or the Honey Citrus Sidecar with Jack Daniels whiskey and agave nectar.)
Helmed by executive chef Daniel Elmaleh, guests can nosh on everything from tuna tartar and grilled octopus to moussakah and pumpkin salad - satisfying delicate omnivores and toothy carnivores alike.
'Cleo' echoes the famous 1917 film starring Theda Bara as the kohl-eyed Cleopatra, whose giant crimson-colored photo peers out over the bar countered by more rustic wooden floors, sage green velvet armchairs and a bistro-esque chalkboard touting the daily specials.
