Luxury has arrived in the Fujian Province of China with the opening of Conrad Hotels & Resorts new Conrad Xiamen, located on the southwestern coast of Xiamen Island.
Conrad Xiamen occupies floors 37 – 54 of the Shimao Straits Tower, in the heart of Siming’s Central Business District. The hotel has 284 guest rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in wardrobes, large flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and wired internet options, Nespresso machines, hydrotherapy rain showers and more. For business travelers, suites and executive rooms offer exclusive access to the Executive Longue on the 54 floor.
Overlooking the city on the 24 floor is Conrad Xiamen’s 24-hour Health Club, complete with a full range of cardio and strength training equipment as well as personal trainers. Also within the health club is a 82-feet heated, indoor pool as well as a Jacuzzi. For relaxation, the hotel invites travelers to visit the Conrad Spa for a variety of personalized treatments.
Conrad Xiamen offers guests over 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. Venues can be used for corporate events, social gatherings and weddings. There are eight multifunction rooms that can accommodate up to 210 people and a pillar-less, 8,000 square foot ballroom, connected to a sea-facing foyer.
The Conrad Xiamen offers guests five on-site restaurants and bars, including the highest bar in town at the Coast Bar and Grill. For Western-style meals and pastries, guests should visit Parisian patisserie French Kiss. For a more authentic experience, Lucheng serves a variety of Catonese and Fujian delicacies.
Guests of the Conrad Xiamen will also have direct access to a shopping mall and movie theater within Shimao Straits Tower, as well as the Shapowei dining district. Travelers are encouraged to utilize the Conrad Concierge app, which enables guests to customize details of the stay, including booking spa services or checking-in via a smartphone or tablet. Within local travel distance from the Conrad Ximaen include Nan Pu tuo Temple, Xiamen University, Gulangyu Island Ferry Terminal, Zhongshan Road, Baicheng Beach and Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, making the Conrad Xiamen the first centrally located luxury hotel available to travelers visiting Xiamen Island.
