The Luxury Collection Expands North American Properties

New Starwood Hotel Starwood's The Luxury Collection Hotels and Resorts has announced that its properties in North America will undergo a $300 million expansion starting this week. The hotel group will be investing in new properties in Key West, Lake Tahoe, San Antonio, San Francisco, and other distinct locations around the United States and Canada. By the end of the year, the company hopes to grow beyond its 100 hotels in 30 countries worldwide.

Among the company’s newly renovated properties are Sunset Key, a private island off of Key West that opened earlier this year. The resort has 40 luxury suites and private cottages, white sand beaches, 24-hour boat transportation, tennis courts, swim-up bars, spa services and more for guests and owners. The new resort is also a short distance from gourmet restaurants, including the onsite Latitudes Restaurant.

Other recently restored Luxury Collection properties include The St. Anthony in San Antonio, Cal Neva resort in Lake Tahoe and Las Alcobas in Napa Valley, all of which are expected to re-open this year.
