Keep an Eye on These Hotel Openings in 2015

Luxury Travel Advisor has covered some exciting hotel news this year, but as this year comes to a close here's a reminder of some of the top hotel developments, which will continue to unfold into 2015. 

Gainsborough Bath Spa

The highly anticipated Gainsborough Bath Spa is rumored to open in the spring. 

There will be 99 guest rooms decorated by Champalimaud Design, a restaurant and a lobby lounge for afternoon tea. Particularly noteworthy, is the Spa Village. Located in a bath house with a four-story glass atrium, the Spa Village will have mosaic-tiled thermal pools, saunas, steam rooms, an ice chamber, treatment rooms and a 24-hour gym. Read more.

Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort

When it opens in the middle of next year, the Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort will have 30 beachfront one- and two-bedroom pool villas and 21 overwater pool villas. An overwater presidential villa is also planned. Read more.  

Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley

Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley, a Luxury Collection hotel, was originally set to open in fall of 2015. Now the hotel is set to open January 7, 2016. 

Las Alcobas will feature 57 guest rooms and suites, a signature restaurant, a 3,500-square-foot spa, an outdoor pool, meeting facilities and more. The man behind the design is Yabu Pushelberg. The hotel sits on 3.4 acres and consists of the historic Acacia House, which was built as a private residence in 1907 and converted into a hotel in 1911. Read more. 

Sandals Barbados

Sandals Barbados will open its doors soon after the new year on January 28, 2015.

Sandals Barbados offers a selection of 280 luxury accommodations that range from beachfront butler suites to new swim-up river suites. This resort will offer guests a variety of cuisine, including a steakhouse and Indian fusion. A new spa will also open in 2015. Read more.

The Mandarin Oriental Milan

The Mandarin Oriental Milan is rumoured to open next spring. It will be a boutique property with 104 guestrooms (including 34 suites) designed with contemporary Italian décor and Asian touches.

Facilities include a cocktail bar, a restaurant with Michelin two-starred chef Antonio Guida, a ballroom and a meeting room. Read more.
