The Leading Hotels of the World Announces New Members

The Leading Hotels of the World has announced that it added new members to its portfolio of luxury hotels around the world.

Fairmont Peace Hotel, an art deco property situated near the famous Bund promenade, boasts contemporary style. The hotel targeting the elite is said to embody a devotion to exceptional service, while its design and character exude 1930s glamor with a 21st-century edge. The 270 guestrooms and suites blend Art-Deco-inspired furnishings with modern amenities. While keeping the traditions intact, including the signature Chinese restaurant Dragon Phoenix and the popular Jazz Bar, the hotel also boasts new features like the Cathay Room, serving European fare, the Cin Cin Bar, the Jasmine Lounge, and the Parisian style Victor’s Café. Additional facilities include six conference and banquet rooms, the Willow Stream Spa, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.

Situated in the heart of the commercial and cultural center of Buenos Aires, the Alvear Art Hotel has 139 rooms and suites. Contraluz restaurant offers a seasonal menu incorporating fresh products in the market, and accompanied by a selection of wines. Recreation options include a spa and fitness center and a spa pool. Other facilities include a meeting room and a business center.

 

Set in the western part of Mallorca, Castell Son Claret is located within a private 132-hectare estate with a main manor house that dates back to the mid-18th century. Surrounded by the protected Sierra de la Tramontana, the hotel is approached via a gated private driveway, lined with date palms and floral borders. The 38 rooms and suites, designed in earthy, contemporary colors with warm natural lighting and wood-beamed ceilings, offer views of the grounds and the surrounding hills. Zaranda Restaurant serves local cuisine, while Olivera offers Mediterranean and international specialties. In addition to the spa and fitness center, there is one banquet room.

 

Le Sereno is an intimate beachfront hotel and spa with 36 rooms, suites and villas on the east end of the island of Saint Barthelemy at Grand Cul de Sac. Parisian designer Christian Liaigre helped Le Sereno earn its reputation as a stylish and private sanctuary among St. Barths select group of hotels. Restaurant Les Pecheurs specializes in fresh seafood, while the Bar Sereno offers a range of wines and spirits as well as non-alcoholic cocktails. Recreation options abound, including beach swimming and water sports, an outdoor pool, Spa at Le Sereno and a fitness center.

On the northwest coast of the Island of Zanzibar, Hideaway of Nungwi Resort & Spa features 102 ocean front accommodations, each with private porch/balcony and tropical gardens with views of the Indian Ocean. All beachfront suites and villas are structured to guarantee a private environment, and each is decorated with contemporary furniture that evokes the island’s Arabic-African Colonial heritage. Surrounded by a 15-hectare park, on the shores of the Black Sea, Rodina Grand Hotel & SPA is set in Sochi. The concept of the hotel was developed by Matteo Thunn, while the building itself is one of the creations of the Stalin-era period. Each of the 37 rooms and suites faces the Black Sea and features summer terraces. Restaurant choices include Black Magnolia serving international cuisine, Moskva for Russian specialties, Black Sea Beach Club for Mediterranean fare, Nebesa for rooftop dining, Chio-Co-Te bar and lounge, and Li-Li Bar. The resort also boasts one of the largest spa centers, as well as beach swimming and water sports, indoor and outdoor pools, and tennis courts. There are also 10 banquet and meeting rooms.
