Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa has debuted its renovated villas, poolside bar, and wellness and spa offerings.
The new villas retain the architecture and intent of the original design but still received plenty of updates. Completed by Van Galder Design, the renovation included custom-made furniture, French limestone flooring, a gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, a living space with an entertainment system, three master bedrooms, three and one-half bathrooms, an outdoor terrace with a hot tub and grill, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
The new pool bar, Rein, which opened in late summer, is located at the resort’s adults-only pool. Rein is a lush outdoor space complete with newly minted cabanas and colorful Mediterranean tiles. Surrounded by the spa's signature tropical landscape, the bar offers a variety of handcrafted cocktails and bites inspired by the resort’s dedication to healthy living.
With wellness being a major inspiration at Rancho Valencia, the resort has additionally launched a handful of refurbishments to enhance their spa experience. This includes new elemental wellness spa therapies, spa treatment packages, and a monthly workshop series focused on various topics from living a plant-based, whole foods lifestyle, to Pilates and yoga techniques.
Based on William H. Sheldon’s Somatotypes, the spa is one of only two spas in the U.S. to implement therapies incorporating somatotypes, which draws from both modern science and ancient technique to heal the body. In the signature Elemental Body Therapies, the spa's advanced wellness therapists will determine each guests’ constitution (Somatotype) to customize an experience unique for their biochemical needs.
In addition, the spa launched a tranquil Siesta Suite, a private, outdoor spa treatment area, as well as a brand partnership with ISUN, an eco-conscious luxury skincare collection.
Guests and locals can enjoy the resort’s extensive fitness facilities, which include a 1,000-square-foot partially open-air Serenity Yoga Pavilion, complimentary fitness classes including TRX, Pilates, spin, and yoga. All fitness classes come with a fresh cold-pressed juice or protein shake.
