Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas Features Chef Gagnaire

From December 28, 2012 to January 3, 2013 chef Pierre Gagnaire makes a special guest appearance at the five-star restaurant Twist at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas. While Chef Gagnaire is in-house, he’ll be personally debuting his new Twist 2013 menu and creating a gastronomic New Year’s Eve feast for guests December 31.

The New Year’s Eve dinner comes in two seatings. The first seating consists of four-courses, with the other a six-course seating.

The first seating, at 5.30 pm, 6:00 pm or 6:30 pm, offers a menu that includes: spiny lobster fricassee with lemongrass rhubarb and mango étouffe; poached fillet of sole and baby oysters; prime grilled beef filet; and desserts including chocolate disc, Paris mushroom demi-deuil, truffle ice cream cachaça with passion fruit syrup, and lemongrass macaroon.

The second seating – available as New Year’s Eve Gala at 9:00 pm, 9:30 pm or 10:00 pm – features: Ossetra caviar; spiny lobster fricassee with lemongrass rhubarb and mango étouffe; poached fillet of sole and baby oysters; New Year’s stew; prime grilled beef filet; and desserts.

Gagnaire is also previewing his new 2013 Twist menu from December 28 to 30. On offer are the three-course preview menu, and the six-course menu. A la carte options are also available.

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas has been honored with the AAA Five Diamond award and awarded the Forbes Five-Star award for the hotel, The Spa and Twist by Pierre Gagnaire. The property was designed entirely by interior designer Adam D. Tihany and architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox.
