Mandarin Oriental to Debut in Taipei

Mandarin Oriental is headed to Taipei. We hear the luxury hotel is scheduled to open in the second quarter of this year.

Located on Dunhua North Road, the hotel will have 256 guest rooms and 47 suites, starting at 592 square feet. All rooms have marble bathrooms and walk-in closets.

Top touch: There will be two Presidential Suites, including a Mandarin suite. These palatial rooms will span more than 4,000 square feet. Each will have a private spa and gym, as well.

The restaurants and bars will include the contemporary French Brasserie, COCO; Ya Ge, the fine dining Cantonese restaurant; Bencotto, the Italian restaurant; and The Mandarin Cake Shop. We also here M.O. Bar will serve cocktails and Champagnes, while The Jade Lounge will be the place for afternoon tea.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei will have 12 treatment rooms including four couples' suites and two VIP suites. There will also be a fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool.
