According to the American Hotel & Lodging Association, currently 84 percent of luxury hotels do not offer complimentary internet, making this new policy a significant bonus for the brand.
There are other perks to creating the online profile: Once the account is set up, guests (and the hotels) can update and keep track of their preferences and needs across the portfolio, so the experience remains consistent wherever guests go. Rates on the website are also guaranteed to be the best available anywhere: If a better rate can be found it will not only be matched, but guests will receive a further 10 percent discount. Even better: Guests who book Mandarin Oriental’s Best Available Rate via selected travel agency partners will also receive the complimentary high-speed internet access.
Once they have a profile online, guests can connect up to six personal devices at every participating Mandarin Oriental hotel worldwide.
