Elizabeth Pitcairn to Play Red Violin at Four Seasons Maui

Great news for music aficionados: The Four Seasons Resort Maui will present an evening with the virtuoso violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn performing on the Red Violin.

Pitcairn will perform at the resort on December 7 as part of the first annual Wailea Wine & Food Festival, which will run from December 6 to 9. Her instrument of choice is the famous 1720 "Red Mendelssohn" Stradivarius, which was purchased by her grandfather at auction in 1990 for well over $1 million. (The purchase reportedly inspired the 1999 Academy Award-winning film The Red Violin.)

The performance will be paired a special dinner menu designed and prepared by the Resort’s Master Executive Chef Roger Stettler.

The Wailea Wine & Food Festival will celebrate the cuisine from the chefs at the area's resorts. Participants will take part in tastings of exceptional wines as well as participate in culinary and wine encounters led by world-renowned master sommeliers.
