Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts opened its third resort in Thailand this past weekend, Mövenpick Resort Laem Yai Beach Samui. The boutique-style beach resort is located on the northwest side of Koh Samui Island and overlooks the Gulf of Thailand, allowing guests the opportunity to walk along Laem Yai Beach—known for its sunsets.
Other vacation activities including snorkeling at Angthong National Marine Park, relaxing at one of the three resort-pools or revaitalizing at Chaba, the resort’s wellness retreat.
This new hotel also provides beachfront dinning at The Terrace restaurant, which serves both traditional Thai and international dishes. Laem Yai Beach Samui will also arrange private meals for couples on the beach.
“With its stunning beaches, lush jungles and extraordinary cultural heritage, Thailand is a tourism epicenter,” said chief operating officer of Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Asia Andreas Mattmüller. “We are confident that the country will remain a key leisure destination in the long run.”
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts plans to open a fourth property in Thailand in the city of Pattaya at the end of 2015.
