Now, fashionistas can get in on the latest trends and give back to Africa’s wildlife at the same time when they buy Figue’s limited edition Rhino Pouch. The cute (and practical) pouch is the product of Figue’s partnership with the andBeyond travel company, together they hope to raise money for rhino population in Africa.
Figue’s founder, Stephanie von Watzdorf, used photos she took in Kenya to create the canvas pouch. The bag has images on the front and back, a gold heart and a purple tassel at the zipper. The waterproof lining makes this the perfect bag to have poolside, as an accent clutch on a tropical vacation and, we think, the purple tassel makes it a fun fall piece.
This new arm candy aims to raise awareness of the illegal poaching in Africa and financially supports Rhinos Without Borders—30 percent of proceeds will go directly to the cause. Great Plains Conservation and andBeyond are teaming up to complete Rhinos Without Borders’ mission, which is to translocate 100 rhino in hopes to help conserve the species. The $8 million operation will give the rhino a safe haven.
