New Overnight Adventures From Azamara Club Cruises

azamara questAzamara Club Cruises has announced its new Overnight Adventures program, which will allow guests to enjoy two- and three-day land excursions. Following the overnight stay, guests will rejoin the ship at its next port of call. 

A dedicated team of expert guides lead each adventure ensuring that guests fully experience their days and nights ashore. The Overnight Adventures program includes transportation, hotel and meal accommodations.

Ancient Temples of Bagan

Yangon, Myanmar

Bagan was founded in 849AD and its home to 3,000 ancient pagodas, temples and monuments spread out over 26 square miles. Guests can stand at the Sunset Temple, and one morning visit a bustling local market. By afternoon, they can explore the ruins. This expedition lasts two days. 

Nazareth, Galilee and Jerusalem

For history buffs and biblical scholars, this is a moving opportunity to retrace the life of Christ and explore the world’s holiest city. Guests travel to the River Jordan where Jesus was baptized and, later, visit the ruins of a synagogue where he once preached. Come nightfall, the trip arrives in Jerusalem. Day two is spent on the narrow streets of the Old City, with a visit to the Western Wall and a chance to follow the Stations of the Cross.

Venice and Florence: Grand Italian Adventure

Guests will experience Italy’s most architecturally rich and artful cities beginning with a full day in Venice. Travelers will climb the great staircase of the Doge’s Palace on a guided tour, and then, join the performers in St. Mark’s Square. Of course, no visit would be complete without a look inside St. Mark’s Cathedral. On day two, it’s off to Florence for a stroll along its Renaissance streets and a day brimming with works by Michelangelo and other masters. The day includes ample time to shop Florentine jewelers and the city’s famed boutiques.

Desert Night in Oman

This exploration starts with a journey to lagoons, waterfalls and seaside retreats. Come afternoon, guests will travel to a Bedouin camp to enjoy an evening of drinking, dancing and traditional barbecue. Travelers will stay in a Bedouin tent.
