New Top Suite at Disney World

Attention luxury travel advisors: Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is adding to its luxury offerings.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a spiffy new member of the Disney Vacation Club whose accommodations will be available for rental. We were impressed by a tour of the Grand Villa (No. 8420), a three-bedroom duplex that can accommodate up to 12. With five balconies, it’s easy to watch the fireworks each night at the Magic Kingdom across the way. You can even catch the action while sitting in the Jacuzzi of the master bedroom.

The Grand Villa's grown-up design is the perfect contrast to Disney World’s family fun.

When it’s time for a nightcap, a top-floor, reservations-only bar provides even more dazzling views of the area. Bay Lake Tower is expected to open later this summer and we hear it may command upward of $10,000 a night, though that hasn’t been confirmed. If this suite is booked when you call, relax. There are 14 villas with similar layouts. Luxury travel advisors can find out more at www.disneytravelagents.com.
