New Wine Academy, Pop-up Dinners From Belmond Trains and Cruises

A new wine academy and new pop-up dinners are among the latest development's at Belmond's trains and cruises. Here's a look at what's new.

New Wine Academy - Belmond Afloat in France, a fleet of five luxury barges, has launched The Wine Academy for 2015, a new bespoke itinerary led by a local wine expert. With tailored trips available to guests of all wine knowledge levels, The Wine Academy will include a program of talks as guests explore Burgundy and its wine. 

New Train - In summer 2016, Belmond will launch Belmond Grand Hibernian - the brand’s first train in Ireland and the country’s first luxury overnight rail experience. Belmond Grand Hibernian will sleep up to 40 guests in 20 en-suite cabins and will tour the open countryside, coastal scenery and cities of both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

New Pop-up Dinners - The 2015 line-up has been announced for pop-up dinners on board Belmond British Pullman and Belmond Northern Belle. Esteemed chefs James Martin, Raymond Blanc and Tom Kerridge are just a few of the culinary stars joining the trains’ kitchens to prepare exclusive fine cuisine for 100 guests. 

New Speaker Series - To celebrate Belmond Road to Mandalay’s 20th anniversary, the brand is rolling out a new guest speaker program. Headliners include Patricia Schultz, author of travel book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die; General Sir Michael Jackson, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces from 2003 – 2006; Justin Watkins, Senior Lecturer on Burmese culture at SOAS University of London; and award-winning wildlife photographer Sue Flood.

New Gift Cards - Belmond has launched personalized e-Gift Cards, available at belmond.com/giftcards. Cards are redeemable on stays and services at all of Belmond’s luxury hotels and for travel aboard the collection’s range of trains and river cruises.
