New York Prepares for Summer Restaurant Week

It’s back, it’s back! After many months of paying full price at some of New York City’s top eateries, Restaurant Week (a misnomer, since it tends to run three weeks) is set to return at the end of July. The culinary festival will run from July 21 through August 15, and will offer three-course lunches for $25 or dinners for $38.

The historic—and swanky—21 Club

A lot of the classic stalwarts will be back this year, including the ever-popular 21 Club, Bar Boulud (and Boulud Sud), Le Cirque Delmonicos

Carnivores will really be in luck: All of Bobby Van’s steakhouses, all of the Capital Grille steakhouses and all of the Morton’s steakhouses will offer special menus, as will NYY Steak (a must-visit for Yankees fans). We’ve tried Empire Steakhouse and can highly recommend it, the cheese puffs at Brasserie Cognac are addictive, and the Indian fare at Darbar is excellent.

Make reservations early at NYCGo.com, and remember that the prix-fixe does not include drinks, tax or gratuity. (The restaurants are going to be packed, so be nice to the waitstaff!)
