This sounds like a fun way to unwind in New York City: The Dream Downtown is set to open the IGK salon this September. This will be the third location for celebrity hairstylists (and brothers) Franck and Leo Izquierdo, who have teamed up with stylists Aaron Grenia and Chase Kusero to launch their first New York City address.
The stylists have tended to the locks of celebs like Jared Leto and Paris Hilton. As head stylist for Donna Karan, Franck counts Grammy winners Cedric Gervais and Lana Del Rey, and Simon Cowell, among his personal clientele, while Leo is the designated "Hair Guardian Angel" of designer Vera Wang and Miami Top Models. Chase is the "go-to guy" for attention-grabbing red carpet styles and has worked with David Guetta, Ozzy Osbourne and Ciara; and New York native Aaron's cutting techniques and styling are favored by designers like Chloé and Roberto Cavalli and can be spotted throughout Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
In a statement, Dream Downtown General Manager Ayo Akinsete said that hotels are are providing "an overall lifestyle experience - from celebrity chefs and personal shoppers, to curated art and the hottest nightlife."
We hear that IGK's signature service will be the Cut & Balayage, and additional services will be available in-room. Cool touch: Dream Downtown collaborated with the stylists to design the custom vanity in the newly renovated Presidential Suite for VIP and celebrity styling.
Services at IGK salon at Dream Downtown start at $70 for a blow dry, $120 for a women's haircut and $70 for a men's haircut. Single color process starts at $110, and Balayage starts at $275.
