Beau-Rivage Palace Opens Holiday Igloos

Planning a European getaway for the holiday season? The grand hotels of Europe go all out with their festive decorations and yuletide events. One such example: the holiday igloos set up by the Beau-Rivage Palace overlooking Lake Geneva. Decorated like mountain chalets by designers from the Swiss website Chic Cham, in collaboration with Espaces Contemporain, the igloos will be transparent so that guests can take in the views of the lake and snowcapped mountains while enjoying hot mulled wine and seasonal treats like fondue and gingerbread. With a capacity of six guests each, the two igloos will be available from December 2016 through the end of January 2017.

Nestled on ten acres of gardens in Lausanne, the Beau-Rivage Palace offers a number of holiday activities an ice skating rink, special gala dinners at chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s restaurant, and children’s treats like pastry workshops, toasted marshmallows, and pony rides.
