The latest property from Mandarin Oriental, Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech, just celebrated its grand opening.

The new resort is set among 20 hectares of landscaped gardens backdropped by the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.

A 10 minute drive from the city center and from historic Medina, the hotel offers 54 private villas said to be inspired by Berber and Moorish influences, all with secluded walled gardens, swimming pools and hot tubs, areas for sunbathing and shaded alfresco dining.

Nine suites, seven of which have their own rooftop plunge pool, offer panoramic vistas of the gardens and the surrounding countryside.

Le Salon Berbère offers a view over both the resort’s blue and green pools and the Atlas Mountains, serving traditional Moroccan as well as international breakfast, drinks and light bites throughout the day. Beside the main swimming pool, the Pool Garden offers a variety of healthy dishes prepared with locally sourced produce.
