Now Booking: Ponant's 2017-2018 Antarctica Cruises

ponantPonant has announced the opening of sales for its winter 2017-2018 cruises to the Antarctic. New for the 2017 and 2018 season, the cruise line will offer two special voyages: "Beyond the Polar Circle" and "Antarctica to Africa."

From November to January 2018, Ponant will offer 11 cruises, including two unusual routes seeking out wildlife not found anywhere else in the world in their natural habitat.

Aboard Le Boréal, Le Soléal and Le Lyrial, all with 122 to 132 staterooms and suites, passengers will have access to strictly protected locations only accessible to small capacity ships. During the flexible itineraries Zodiac outings will take passengers as close as possible to wildlife, with time to linger in major sites.

The new "Beyond the Polar Circle" cruise will mark the first time Ponant is crossing the Antarctic Polar Circle, latitude 66° 33’ 39”. After calling at the Falkland Islands and sailing through South Georgia, passengers will reach the Antarctic Peninsula via the Polar Circle line. The 17-day / 16-night cruise roundtrip from Ushuaia will be available on Le Soléal. Rates from $9,957.35

The other new itinerary, "Antarctica to Africa," will sail aboard Le Lyrial, taking in the Falkland Islands and South Georgia before heading across to the volcanic archipelago of Tristan da Cunha and South Africa’s nature reserves. The 22-day / 21-night cruise will sail from Ushuaia to Cape Town. Rates from $6,619.04.

All cruises automatically include the Open Bar, while some benefit from the Ponant Bonus fare for early bookers, with savings up to 30 percent on the brochure price. Optional pre- and post- cruise programs are available on all itineraries.
