The Oetker Collection just released word of two big new hotel projects: The Palácio Tangará, São Paulo and "A New York Masterpiece" in New York City.

The Palácio Tangará, São Paulo, set to open in spring 2017, will be set in the Burle Marx Park. The hotel will have 141 guestrooms -- including 55 suites -- all with views overlooking the park.

550 madison avenueBrazilian interior designers William Simonato and Patricia Anastassiadis are spearheading the hotel's interiors, and Oekter said it plans to tap an "acclaimed chef" for the hotel's dining experiences. In addition to a signature restaurant, there will also be a chef’s table, a bar, a wine cellar, a lobby and lounge bar, all with outdoor terraces. Other planned amenities include a fitness center and spa with private garden, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a kid's club.

For meetings and events, there will be 11 function rooms, including a ballroom for up to 360 guests, with terraces overlooking the park.

In Manhattan, Oetker has also said it will open a "New York Masterpiece" in spring 2018. At 550 Madison Avenue, between 55th and 56th Street, the hotel will be minutes from Central Park and near top boutiques and shops. The hotel will be housed in the former Sony Tower, a postmodern landmark designed by Philip Johnson.

The hotel will have 170 guestrooms, including 60 suites, across eight floors. There will be a bar with lounge area, a gourmet restaurant, a spa, a fitness center and a 25 meter pool.

Located above the hotel, from floors 21 to 43 of the tower, will be 115 luxury apartments by the New Yorker Chetrit Group, the building's owner. We hear these apartments will be decorated by famous designer Robert Stern and will be serviced by Oetker Collection as well.
