Earlier last week, Palisades Hospitality Group revealed that it has purchased the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, California. The hotel will be managed under Palisades’ hotel subsidiary, allowing the hotel group to maintain the Colony Palms’ unique, iconic image. Palisades will also be adding a 1,200 square-foot meeting room within the next several months, offering small businesses and parties a private space.
Originally built in 1930, the Colony Palms features historic Spanish colonial architecture, Moorish tiles and Moroccan-inspired décor throughout its 57-room property. Aside from the hotel’s lavish interior, guests can enjoy fine dining at the Purple Palm Restaurant and Bar, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
The hotel’s spa includes four treatment rooms, a fitness center, lounges and special treatments for guests. For $99, guests can indulge in a 50-minute Swedish Massage or 50-minute Detox Facial featuring a complimentary glass of champagne. Guests can also choose from a variety of additional amenities to make their stays as relaxing and personal as possible. The Colony Palms staff can arrange for chocolate covered strawberries, flower bouquets, in-room champagne service and rose petal welcomes for couples looking for an intimate vacation.
