Paris' Hotel de Vendôme Offers Special Holiday Menu, Shopping Excursions

Here's a fantastic way to celebrate the holidays in the City of Light: The Hotel de Vendôme is offering a Christmas package that includes the services of a personal shopper and special Alsacian cuisine and wines.

The shopper will escort guests to the city's top stores and help them find whatever they need--from presents to the perfect dress for that Christmas party.

And then there's the food: The new Hotel Manager, Stéphane Wenz Schuhler, is from the Alsace region and brought in a guest pastry chef for the season: Franck Wenz from the Valrhona Chocolate School will work together with Head Chef Josselin Marie to create a series of Christmas and New Year’s menus. The Alsacian degustation menu will be served at dinner throughout the holidays, along with a New Year’s Eve dinner and brunch on New Year’s Day.

Dishes include: Scallops with parsley mousse, baked potatoes wedges, lemon caviar and shellfish cream with pinot gris, side of “Rouffach” and Venison fillet with a mulled “Gertwiller” wine and sweet spice sauce, braised squash. Desserts include: “Lebkueche” Vendôme style with clementine jelly, whipped cream with caramelized hazelnuts and chocolate sauce.

And those who can't stick around for dinner can still experience a bit of the holiday season: The hotel's Coffee Time is back, and guests can relax with some patisseries from the Alsace region and mulled wine from 3pm - 7pm daily starting on December 6 throughout the winter season.

Putting all of these perks together, the hotel is offering a Christmas package for the whole month of December. The package includes…
One or two nights with breakfast in a Classic or Deluxe room
Alsacian degustation dinner for two (excluding drinks)
Half-day shopping in Paris accompanied by a personal shopper
