There’s a new head of Sales at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company to oversee the luxury brand’s strategic positioning. Edward French has been appointed Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and with his background directing the brand’s customer loyalty programs, we expect to see continued focus on digital engagement with the consumer. French will now work as the strategic business partner to the President and Global Chief Operating Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he’ll make important decisions about Marketing, Global Sales, and Revenue Management.
Before this appointment, French was Senior Vice President, Marketing Platforms, where he directed the strategy of the award winning loyalty programs, Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards. (Prior to joining Marriott, he led American Airlines’ Advantage program, the world’s largest customer loyalty program.)
French will also oversee CRM, Public Relations and Social Media, and is thus responsible for driving top-line revenue and expanding competitive advantage for The Ritz-Carlton brand.
