Red Carnation Hotels acquired Ashford Castle in Ireland. Red Carnation Hotels’ Managing Director Jonathan Raggettm said his team was looking forward to working with Ashford’s GM Niall Rochford and to growing the workforce with local talent. “We will be working with local suppliers and partners on a refurbishment program that will restore this illustrious hotel to its former glory, and build on the fine reputation that the hotel already enjoys,” Raggett said.
Uniworld European boutique river cruises in 2014 will include unlimited wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks, and bottled water, and all gratuities for all onboard and onshore services, including pre- and post-cruise extensions. It launches the S.S. Catherine France next year as well.
Emirates will have A380 service from Los Angeles to Dubai starting December 2. The 489-seat Emirates A380 has 14 Private First Class Suites, 76 lie-flat beds in Business and 399 seats in Economy. First Class has two Onboard Shower Spas, while premium passengers on the upper deck have an Onboard Lounge with beverages and bar snacks. All classes of service have inflight Wi-Fi and cellphone connectivity.
