General Hotel Management, the 20-year-old luxury hotel group, is appointing Hansjörg Meier ([email protected]) as its senior vice president. Meier, a Swiss native with 34 years of hospitality experience under his belt, will oversee GHM’s hotel and resort operations, as well as the upcoming openings of new projects in Europe and Asia. General managers at all of GHM’s properties will report directly to him. He began with GHM in 1999 as director of food & beverage at The Datai Langkawi. In 2000 he was promoted to general manager of The Legian Bali and during his six years in Bali, Meier oversaw the openings and operations of The Club at The Legian and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah.
