Scott Allen has been appointed general manager of Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in North San Diego. An accomplished hospitality executive, Allen enjoyed a successful career with Hyatt Hotels since joining the company in 1986. Most recently, he held the position of general manager at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California. In his new role at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, he will be responsible for the management, operations and sales & marketing of the AAA Five Diamond, 329-room property.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Allen’s career began in the food and beverage division of Grand Hyatt Cypress in 1986. From there, he progressed through various jobs within Hyatt, including Food & Beverage Director at Hyatt properties in Grand Cayman, Hilton Head and Beaver Creek before becoming general manager of Hyatt On Printer’s Row in Chicago, Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino, and Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine.
