Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, the Tuscan resort founded by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo, has announced the appointment of a new director of sales for the resort.  Hospitality and travel industry vet Maria Gasparella has been selected for the job.

Before joining the hospitality industry, Gasparella earned a degree in Hotel Management from the University of Como. Prior to joining Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, Gasparella has served as the associate director of sales at the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where she lead the sales team as well as developed leisure sales strategies and activities during the property’s pre-opening and post-opening periods. In addition to the associate director of sales position, she has also held sales roles at the Four Seasons Florence, including Sales Manager and Director of Sales.

“With a strong sales background at luxury properties around the world and experience working in Tuscany’s local tourism industry, Maria is a welcome addition to Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco,” said Davide Bertilaccio, managing director of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. “Maria’s skillset and passion for hospitality will be key assets as the resort, and we are thrilled to have her join now as we have just opened the resort’s villas for the winter season through the Winter Villa Escape.”

In her new role, Gasparella will lead and oversee the property’s sales team and promote the estate as a tourism destination of the Tuscan region.
