Chris Austin has been announced as the new senior vice president, global sales and marketing of Seattle-based Seabourn.
In his new role, the seasoned luxury travel executive will be responsible for Seabourn's overall marketing efforts, brand management, sales, and public relations, as Seabourn looks to expand its fleet and overall capacity.
Prior to joining Seabourn, Austin spent 30 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, most recently serving as vice president, global leisure, luxury, and total market coverage sales. Within Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Austin has held positions in the property, food and beverage, and banqueting and catering fields, as well as multiple sales roles.
Austin’s tenure with Seabourn will begin with the new year. He will relocate from Miami to Seattle, as well.
Seabourn is a member of World’s Leading Cruise Lines, has a partnerships with UNESCO to help protect World Heritage, and its fleet of ships each have no more than 300 suites.
