Photo Tour: Park Hyatt Zanzibar

With the Park Hyatt Zanzibar making its long-awaited debut this month, now is the time to show it off to potential clients – or friends you’d like to make jealous. We’ve rounded up a photo tour of the new property.

The hotel includes two buildings, the purpose-built Zamani residence and Mambo Msiige, a typical Zanzibari mansion that dates all the way back to the 17th century.

The guestrooms, of which there are 67, are designed in a contemporary style, with free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, illy coffee machines, and separate rainshowers and soaking tubs in the bathrooms. All 11 of the property’s suites come with balconies overlooking the Indian Ocean.

The on-site Anantara spa has three large spa suites. Other property amenities on offer include a 24-hour fitness center; a number of dining concepts; and an oceanfront infinity pool with a Pool Lounge serving fresh fruit juices, tropical cocktails, and locally caught seafood.

The hotel is on the beach in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and we hear the property’s concierge is happy to assist in planning local activities and get-togethers.

Ocean-going activities near the hotel include a Dhow Sunset Cruise; Bespoke Safari Blue (dolphin watching, sandbank picnic, lunch and snorkeling); kite surfing; scuba diving; fishing trips with catch prepared by the hotel's chefs; dolphin watching; a sandbank picnic (including snorkeling, picnic and BBQ); and day cruises around the island.

The hotel also has a special opening offer that gives 5,000 bonus points to Hyatt Gold Passport members for stays that include 2 nights or more between April 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015.

Park Hyatt currently has 34 hotels worldwide, ranging from Beaver Creek to Buenos Aires to Beijing.
