Photo Tour: W Mexico City

The W Mexico City is on the cusp of completing a renovation of its guest rooms and Living Room Bar, set to be 100 percent complete this April.

With its “Whatever/Whenever” motto, the space aims to accommodate a clientele of business and leisure guests, who can expect characteristic W hospitality combined with Mexican embellishments as part of the property’s overall “Masquerade” theme.

We’ve selected a handful of photos for our readers to get a preview of the property’s new look.

The property is located in the district of Polanco, a nexus for top dining, nightlife and shopping. The mask-chairs, which can be found in the lobby, allude to the hotel’s prevailing “Masquerade” theme. Wall décor portrays moments in the history of Mexico embodied by characters such as Azteca (Aztec), Luchador (Wrestler), Conquistador (Conqueror), Diva of the Mexican cinema, and Adelita (Women in the Mexican revolution).

The fully-wired rooms are outfitted with large desks with European and occidental USB outlets and a Jack Pack connectivity panel. Guests are pampered with cotton bathrobes and Bliss toiletries, not to mention psychedelic tiling and rainforest showerheads! Bedding features 350-threadcount Egyptian cotton sheets and goose down duvets, and air conditioning and lighting are designed by Jung.

The Living Room Lounge is open Sunday-Tuesday, from 6 am - 1:30 am and from Wednesday-Saturday, from 6 am - 2:30 am. During the day, guests can enjoy coffee and complimentary Internet access. The drinks menu features Signature Cocktails, including: Ruby Red, Sugar Cotton, Gin Graffiti, Mezcalada, Blue Moon and Red Deluxe. Resident DJs spin Wednesday to Saturday for some late-night entertainment, and intimate VIP sections give guests privacy to see without being seen.

Guests can design their own cocktail at the MixBar.
