Summer 2018 itineraries from Ponant are now available for booking. Options now on sale include the first cabins of the Ponant Explorer Series, four yachts specifically designed for luxury expedition cruises. The first two ships in the series are expected to arrive in time for the summer season.

The series’ first two ships, Le Lapérouse and Le Champlain, offer just 92 cabins each. Throughout the entire Ponant fleet there will be 82 cruise itineraries for the summer 2018 season, taking guests through five geographical zones. 45 new ports of call have been added to the line's schedule. Regions to be explored include North America, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Asia, Australia, the Arctic, Fiji, Wallis, Futuna and more. Each itinerary will offer exclusive tours, like a visit to Gyeongju in South Korea, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Thanks to the Explorers’ new designs, technology, capacity and respect for the environment, the ships are able to offer Ponant’s widest range of destinations yet, the line said. New itineraries for 2018 include Icelandic Mosaic, which sails roundtrip from Reyjavik aboard Le Lapérouse, from June 26 - July 3, 2018, (eight days/seven nights), and Treasures of Sicily, sailing round trip from Valetta, Malta, abord Le Champlain from October 4 - 11, 2018, (eight days/seven nights), which will travel between Malta and Sicily to honor Valetta as the European Capital of Culture for 2018.
