Preferred Hotel Group is making moves, we hear, with the announcement of three key executives.
Ananya Narayan has been named Area Managing Director of Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa; Philipp Weghmann was appointed Area Managing Director of Latin America and Caribbean; and Susan Devine has taken the role of Area Managing Director of Southern Europe, and Vice President, Business Development.
Narayan comes to the role with over 16 ears of industry experience. He will continue to hold his position as Senior Vice President - Global Strategy. He will be supported in his new role by Regional Directors based in cities like Shanghai, Tokyo and New Delhi.
Weghmann comes to his position having served as Regional Director, Iberian Peninsula and Mediterranean for the past five years. In his new position he will be responsible for broadening existing member partnerships with the 85-plus hotels throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. He will also oversee the growth of the Sao Paulo and Mexican offices.
Devine, who previously held Weghmann's new position, will be responsible for supporting the over 100 hotels within the Iberian Peninsula & Mediterranean region. The role of Vice President, Business Development, was created for this region and she will work to further develop new members and expand brand awareness.
