The Kinmel Manor in Abergele, North Wales has commenced its £1.2m luxury spa extension.
The project will create over 20 jobs at the hotel site once completed at the end of the year.
The spa will feature six treatment rooms, a gymnasium, sauna and steam room, a relaxation room and hydrotherapy pool, where Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar laid the first tile. Guests can also look forward to a Thai restaurant that will be built at the spa.
"The remainder of the hotel has also undergone major refurbishment in recent months. Tom Morpeth, hotel manager, said: "The Kinmel Manor has over the years gained an excellent reputation as a venue for weddings and functions. We will cater for conferences, luxury spa breaks and clientele looking to experience the increasing number of exciting leisure activities on offer throughout North Wales, whilst staying in excellent accommodation with the added benefit of a superior spa & leisure facility."
