The Lowell, a luxury hotel located in New York’s Upper East Side, will be renovated starting late this summer, with the redesign including a new restaurant, bar and a library lounge, as well as facelifts to the lobby and Pembroke Room.
The renovation involves Los Angeles-based designer Michael Smith and London-based architect Mark Pinney. Smith, who also refreshed the hotel’s guestrooms, will develop a new vision for the public spaces. Meanwhile, Pinney will focus on creating an aesthetic balance between areas on the first and second floor and Smith’s spaces.
Restaurateur Charles Masson will collaborate with chef Christian Delouvrier for a French restaurant with Mediterranean influences. This space will have an interior with floral influences, as well as a new garden terrace with a fireplace, fountain and.
