Ritz-Carlton Adds Resorts in Spain and Malaysia

Two new Ritz-Carltons are making their international debut.

Yesterday, June 5, the Ritz-Carlton flag was raised in Tenerife Spain as the Abama Golf & Spa Resort was re-named The Ritz-Carlton Abama.

The resort will undergo a guest room renovation and later this year, the addition of the signature Ritz-Carlton Club services. The Ritz-Carlton Club offers guests an exclusive haven within the resort and will be located on the 10th floor. In addition, the brand's "Ritz Kids" is launching at the family-friendly resort. The program will go live this summer. 

Then, over in Malaysia, a new agreement with AJ Resorts SDN BHD has been inked to open an oceanfront Ritz-Carlton resort on Langkawi in 2015.

The RItz-Carlton, Langkawi has its is own private cove and beach overlooking the Andaman Sea. The 132-room resort, including 42 villas, will have three swimming pools, including one specially created for children, and a specially-designed Ritz-Kids Club. 

Restaurants will reflect the diversity of Asia including Malay, Chinese, Thai and Indian. Completing the dining experience are a French fine dining venue and an international beach grill.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa will offer signature treatments, including a hammam.
