James “Jim” Palank, was recently named to the position of senior director of resort sales for the The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach.
In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the group and leisure market for global sales for Waikiki’s newest luxury resort and Oahu’s first Ritz-Carlton Residences.
Palank has more than 20 years of expert experience within the luxury hotel sector. His experience as a senior director of resort sales comprises many of Hawaii’s most distinguished hotels and resorts including Montage Kapalua Bay, both The Westin Maui Resort and Spa and The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, The Kahala Mandarin Oriental and The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
Palank also served as the vice president of sales and marketing at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas before becoming the regional director of leisure sales for Trump Hotel Collection. In 2013, Starwood Hotels & Resorts named Palank the Starwood Sales Leader of the Year for the North America Division.
