Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco Introduces Winter Villa

For the first time, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco will allow guests to stay at the estate during winter with the Winter Villa Escape. From November 27, 2016 through April 12, 2017, guests can enjoy the Winter Villa Escapes and enjoy Tuscany during its offseason.

Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val d’Orcia, the resort’s luxury villas are restored 17th and 18th century farmhouses, offering both artisanal furnishings and modern comforts, which include full-service kitchens, Tuscan-style fireplaces, and accommodations for up to twelve guests.

Guests who stay at the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco for the Winter Villa Escape will enjoy a fully stock kitchen of locally-sourced groceries, a concierge to book a variety of activities on the villa and in the surrounding area, including Siena, Florence, and the Chianti region. In those regions, travelers will have the chance to go on truffle hunting expeditions, shopping trips, and private tours of the region by horseback, bike, Ferrari, hot air balloon, or helicopter.

Additionally, guests will have access to the on-site winery for tours and tastings of the estate’s Brunello di Montalcino wine. They can also tee off at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco’s Golf Club, Italy’s only private golf club, an 18-hole course designed by British Open-winner Tom Weiskopf.
