Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Appoints New VP for Sales & Marketing

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Dianna Balabon has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing. In this new role, Balabon will be responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing initiatives within Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, including the management and supervision of Rosewood’s six regional sales offices, and the properties’ sales and marketing directors.

Balabon joins Rosewood with more than 24 years of experience in luxury hotel sales. Most recently, Balabon spent three years as vice president of sales of Andre Balazs Properties. Previously, she served as the executive director of marketing for The New York Palace Hotel. In this role, Balabon was responsible for overseeing and implementing the hotel’s affiliation with The Dorchester Collection. Prior to her time with The New York Palace Hotel, Balabon spent two years as vice president of sales and marketing of The Trump Collection, spearheading the company’s brand development.

From 1998 to 2007, Balabon worked for The Peninsula Hotel group. In her first role with the company, Balabon served as director of sales and marketing of The Peninsula New York for five years, before moving into a corporate role as vice president of sales and marketing, a position where she remained for four years, managing sales and marketing initiatives for the Americas and Europe.

Balabon began her career in the hospitality industry in 1989, serving in various sales and marketing positions with prominent hotel groups including Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, the Sterling Hotel Group and The Leading Hotels of the World. Balabon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa.
