Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Ernesto Floro to director of sales and marketing for The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel in New York City. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies for the property.
Ernesto joins the team with over 13 years of New York luxury hospitality sales experience under his belt. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in hotel and tourism management from New York University, Ernesto’s hotel career began at The Peninsula where he was a sales manager for six years before becoming the regional director of sales. After his time at The Peninsula, Ernesto went on to become the director of corporate and entertainment sales for The St. Regis New York. Most recently, Ernesto held the position of director of sales and marketing at The Mark, also located on the Upper East Side.
