Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is readying for the debut of Rosewood Sanya, scheduled to debut in 2017. It is the third Rosewood property to be announced in mainland China (see Rosewood Beijing and Rosewood Chongqing).
The luxury hotel will be in Haitang Bay in southern Hainan Island, rubbing elbows with other luxury resorts in the area (Banyan Tree, One&Only and Anantara anyone?). Guests will take an express elevator to a private lobby lounge offering views of Haitang Bay. Occupying 14 floors of an oceanfront building, Rosewood Sanya will feature 229 guest rooms, which at a minimum of 700 square feet, will be something worth making the trip for. All accommodations will be ocean-facing and one third will include balcony plunge pools.
A 337-foot infinity-edge sky pool on the 13th floor will have South China Sea views. There will also be a 426-foot pool, which will open to a stretch of private beach.
Rosewood Sanya will offer five restaurants: an all-day dining, lobby lounge, a poolside cafe, an indoor/outdoor market-style seafood restaurant and a beachside restaurant and bar. Facilities will include Rosewood's signature Sense spa, a fitness center and meeting space.
